About Rumble Tuff Pumps

What is a closed system?

A closed-system breast pump is designed to keep milk from entering the tubing and the pump motor. Each Rumble Tuff expression collection kit has an anti-backflow diaphragm, which protects the pump and tubing from milk backflow.

Are the Suction levels adjustable?

All Rumble Tuff pumps, electric and manual, have adjustable suction levels.

What is the unique waveform?

The Rumble Tuff Waveform holds the time at the peak suction level longer, to make each pumping cycle more effective in extracting milk. The goal is to make pumping more efficient and comfortable for moms. Click HERE to see a video of our Unique Waveform in action!

Where can I purchase a pump?

All Rumble Tuff pumps can be purchased online at RUMBLE TUFF.

You can also fill out our INSURANCE FORM to see if your insurance will cover the cost of a breast pump.

How do I become an affiliate?

Returns and Cancellations

How do I return an order?

Due to the personal nature of some of our products, some items can not be returned. There are exceptions so please see our Return Policy HERE.

To return an order, please email our Customer Service, HERE or call us 801-609-8168. Please provide your name, order number, the product(s) you wish to return and the reason you are returning them when requesting a return.

When we have received your request, you will be issued a return authorization number (RAN). Please provide this number on your receipt with your return shipment.

How do I cancel and order?

At Rumble Tuff, we ship our products as soon as possible. All orders are shipped within 2 business days, but some may ship sooner. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order once it has been placed.

If you place your order during business hours, 9 am-5 pm, MST, please call us as soon as possible at 801-609-8168 and we will do our best to accommodate you. If your order was placed after business hours, please send us an EMAIL or a voice mail, 801-609-8168, requesting a cancellation of your order.

If your order has already been shipped, we apologize for any inconvenience. You may return the unopened item(s) for a full refund, however, you will be responsible for return shipping costs.

If the product has been opened and can be returned according to the RETURN POLICY, you could also be responsible for a 15% re-processing fee for the item.

Unopened items returned within 30 days will not be subject to return fees.

May I return an item I bought on sale?

Due to the personal nature of some of our products, some items can not be returned. There are exceptions so please see our Return Policy HERE.

Sale items will be refunded for the sale price paid at the time of purchase.

Items purchased at clearance prices are not eligible for returns or refunds.

How do I request an exchange?

To request an exchange, please EMAIL our Customer Service or call us at 801-609-8168. Please provide your name, order number, the product(s) you wish to exchange, and the item(s) you wish to receive.

You can either:

  1. Place your order by phone or email, and the amount will immediately be deducted from your totalOr
  2. We can issue a store credit coupon by phone or email in the amount of the item(s) you returned. You can use that coupon at our online store, HERE, to purchase the exchange items(s).

When we have received your request, you will be issued a return authorization number.(RAN).

Please provide this number on your order receipt with your return shipment.

What bottle brands are compatible with Rumble Tuff®  pumps?

Rumble Tuff bottle adapters fit most standard bottles.

Our BOTTLE ADAPTERS, which are compatible with all Rumble Tuff breast pumps, make it possible to use a wider mouth bottle brand, like Avent or Playtex style bottles, with your Rumble Tuff breast pump.

What is the length of the warranty?

Due to the personal nature of some of our products, some items can not be returned. There are exceptions so please see our Return Policy HERE.

With the exception of our breast pumps, our guaranteed warranty period for all of our products is 30 days.

The Breeze and Mighty Tyke Duo models have a two year warranty on the pump unit and a one year warranty on the internal rechargeable battery.

The Easy Express 2, Serene Express and Whisper Duo models have a two year warranty. The Breeze Pro and Rhythm models have a three year warranty.

Unopened items can be returned within 30 days of the purchase date and are not subject to any return processing fees.

Due to the personal nature of breast pumps, if they are opened, they are not returnable, but we will warranty any defective products and issue an exchange.

How is my refund issued?

Refunds are issued back to the credit card used to pay for the order.

If you ordered by phone and did not use a credit card, please call our office at 801-609-8168  or toll free at 1-855-228-8388 for assistance.

Please keep in mind shipping and handling costs are non-refundable.

Shipping

When will I receive my order?

For orders within the United States, shipping generally takes 2-5 business days. For orders made outside the US, please allow for a minimum of 5 days for your shipment to arrive.

If you need your package to arrive faster than ground services can allow for, you may request expedited shipping when placing your order.

What if my order arrived damaged?

Sometimes accidents happen in the shipping process.

If you receive a product that is damaged, please notify Rumble Tuff within 30 days of delivery so we might assist you in resolving the issue.

Please be prepared to provide digital photos of the damaged shipping container, preferably before the package is opened and, if necessary, photos of the damaged product.

This will help in the processing of your claim. If photos are requested, please email them to CUSTOMER SERVICE. We will arrange for a return and/or shipment of a replacement part(s).

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

Customers are responsible for all return shipping expenses.

We recommend shipping return items with an insured courier (ex. FedEx, UPS, USPS) and retain your receipt, until your items(s) have been confirmed they have been delivered to Rumble Tuff.

How do I request expedited or international shipping?

Please call us at 801-609-8168 or toll tree at 1-855-223-8388, to receive a quote on next-day, 2-day, 3-day, or international shipping. We will be happy to use the service and carrier you prefer.

How do I enter a military address (APO, FPO, DPO) as my mailing address?

To enter an APO, FPO, or DPO address on our order form, please follow the instructions below:

  1. In the City field: Enter "APO", "FPO", or "DPO"
  2. In the State/Province/Region field: Enter the 2-letter code for the region where the recipient is stationed. Typically, but not always, the code is AE for recipients stationed in Europe, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East.; AA for recipients stationed in the Americas; and AP for recipients stationed in Asia or the Pacific.

Following these steps will ensure you are charged the correct shipping amount and that your order will be delivered in a timely fashion. All shipments to APO, FPO, or DPO addresses are sent via U.S. Priority or First Class Mail. Please allow at least one week for delivery, once the order has been shipped. Please be aware, some destinations may take longer, up to 21 days.

What about custom duties and taxes?

The customer is responsible for assuring the products they order can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Rumble Tuff, the customer is defined as the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.

Please keep in mind that Rumble Tuff has no control over these additional charges and the customer may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees which will be levied once a shipment reaches the destination country.

Any additional charges for customs clearance will be the customer's responsibility.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country. If you are located outside of the United States and you are interested in purchasing from Rumble Tuff, we advise you to contact your local customs office for more detailed information.

Please be aware when customs procedures are required, they may cause delays beyond Rumble Tuffs' control and original delivery estimates.

Can I track my order?

A tracking number is generated with the shipping label. When the order is shipped, that tracking number will be sent to the email, provided when the order was placed.

Troubleshooting Your Pump

First time using a breast pump?

With first time pump users, there is always a learning curve with the Kit assembly. Click HERE for an easy-to-follow video. 

Experiencing low or loss of suction?

If you’re experiencing low suction, no suction, or lower suction than usual with your breast pump, there may be something wrong with parts, which can easily be fixed, or the pump itself.

The first thing to do is inspect the pump and then closely look at the specific components.

Consider and check the following:

  1. Are there chips, cracks, tears, or punctures in any of the parts?
  2. Valves should be changed about every 30 days. How old are your valves? When is the last time you changed them?
  3. Make sure tubing is free of twists and kinks.
  4. Is the power adapter port free of any foreign objects?
  5. Check the valves and diaphragm. Are they assembled correctly and in the right position? For best seal, use a gentle twisting motion when attaching parts.
  6. Are the parts clean and dry? Don’t store your pumping kit in the fridge, moisture can build up and reduce suction.
  7. Is your breast shield size correct? Using the wrong size breast shield affects suction and milk production.
  8. Is the battery low? Plug your pump directly into an outlet and see if that changes anything.

Experiencing uneven suction?

While uneven suction can occur with a breast pump, it should not be possible for your motor to create different suction on each side. If this seems to be occurring, it is likely a problem with a component part or the assembly of parts.

1. Inspect the individual components of the pump 

  • Are there chips, cracks, tears, or punctures in any of the parts?

  • Check the valves and diaphragm. Are they assembled correctly and in the right position? For best seal, use a gentle twisting motion when attaching parts.

  • Are the parts clean and dry? Don’t store your pumping kit in the fridge, moisture can build up and reduce suction.

2. Switch the Parts Around

  • Starting with the valve, switch parts one at a time from the side that is working to the side that isn’t working.
  • This should isolate the part that is causing the issue.

Is the Collection Kit damaged?

Carefully examine the entire kit for damage. Chips, cracks, punctures or tears can cause a leak even if they are hardly visible. If parts are damaged in any way they need to be replaced.

How often should I check the valves?

Valves need to be changed, on average, every 30 days. Your Collection Kit should have come with an extra valve. If you’ve already used the extra valve, you can order more on our website, HERE. If you are using the membrane valves, make sure the white membrane is facing towards the right when you’re pumping, as shown below. This should assure the best suction level. 

How do I check the tubing on my pump?

Make sure your tubing is securely inserted into the pump, the T-Connector (the place where the tubing splits into two tubes) and into the top of the cap. Please refer to the images below.

Verify that the tubing is not twisted, kinked or bent in any way.

Is the Diaphragm assembled correctly?

The diaphragm needs to be securely inserted onto the top of the breast shield body. Make sure you press it down gently, firmly and evenly all the way around before you put the cap in place. Click HERE to watch a quick video.

Is the Collection Kit completely dry?

Moisture can reduce suction. Double check to see if your kit is absolutely dry before your pumping session. Remember, tubing should never be submerged in water! Click HERE for proper first-time cleaning instructions. 

Is your flange the right size?

Did you know your Rumble Tuff breast pump comes with two different sized flanges? The flange, which is included in all of Rumble Tuff's electric pumps measures 25mm. The silicone cushion inserts decreases the size by 2mm, making it a 23mm flange. If you haven’t tried both, now’s the time!
However, we recognize moms nipples are not all the same size and that using an incorrect size flange can reduce suction level, reduce milk output and sometime cause pain. How do I Troubleshoot Battery and Power Issues?

In order to provide milk for your baby, we know it’s vital for your pump to work properly and consistently. Thankfully, with Rumble Tuff pumps, often the solutions to power or battery issues are simple.

1. Check to make sure the outlet you are plugged into is working

  • Try using a different item, like a hair dryer, to plug into the outlet you are using.
  • Try using a different outlet entirely.

2. Check the power adapter is properly connected

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter.
  • Make sure the power adapter port free of any foreign objects.

Why should I register my pump?

Registering your purchase activates the warranty, and provides you with access to receiving updates and upgrades regarding our products.

If you ever need technical assistance, we will be able to more easily help you due to your product information being on file. Also, in the event that you ever require Proof-of-Purchase (i.e. for insurance purposes), you can request this from us through email HERE.

What happens if I don't register my product?

There are only benefits to registering your pump

 If you choose to not register, make sure to keep your receipt, in order to provide Proof-of-Purchase, just in case you ever need to have Customer Service help you address any issues which might arise.

May I return an item I received as a gift?

Due to the personal nature of some of our products, some items can not be returned. There are exceptions, so please see our Return Policy HERE.

In order to make a return, you must provide a copy of the receipt. We cannot accept a return without it. If necessary, you will need to obtain a receipt from the gift-giver. Once you have the receipt, you may return the item and receipt for a full refund, minus shipping.

Please keep in mind that the refund will be issued to the same credit card which was used to place the order. You can also exchange your gift for another Rumble Tuff product.

What if my item is out of stock?

We try to anticipate the needs of our customers and to keep enough stock on hand. If the item you want to purchase is Out Of Stock, contact Rumble Tuff CUSTOMER SERVICE for assistance.

Has my item been discontinued?

Billing

Do I have to pay sales tax?

Only Utah residents are charged an in-state 8.70% sales tax.

Customers ordering outside the state of Utah are not required to pay this sales tax.

Please be aware that this policy is subject to change according to US tax law.

What credit card can I use?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express cards. Please note that we do not accept internationally issued credit cards.

Credit cards are processed when you place your order. Unfortunately, we do not accept C.O.D. orders.

What if I don't have a credit card?

If you do not have a credit card, we can process your order with a money order or cashier's check.

Your order will be shipped once payment has been received.

Why does Rumble Tuff® need my contact information?

Rumble Tuff values its customers privacy. We do not sell or share your information with entities outside of Rumble Tuff.

Your contact information provides us with a way to contact you in case we run into a problem with your order. Your email address is also where our carriers send a tracking number for your package.
